Forgot To Say, “We have no money.”

My mother always said to me as I was growing up, “Nancy it’s not what you say it’s how you say it”.   Well, was mama right, is how you say something important or even make a difference? Hum, let’s take a look at President Donald Trump situation regarding taking care of the USA first.

President Trump is the first President who is saying “no” and that has come across and is coming across as being selfish and a total jerk. Before, other Presidents have said well we have no money however we will make it work then borrowed money.  Ok, so Presidents later, years later and we are in total debt, credit cards maxed out and we owe more money than we can actually pay off in a couple of years. When a country is in debt it’s just like when people are in debt and tough decisions have to be made, tough decisions that might make you cry or frown but hey to get out of debt got to make some changes.

Let me ask you, does it make sense to put our own people our Veterans who have fought for the freedom of our country and other people in the USA that need help to be put on the backburner ….. so that we can take care of non USA citizens ?  I’m serious that is exactly what we have been doing .. welcome benveniedos bonjour  with open arms  … sure we have no money but that makes no difference we will help you before we help our own.  An analogy is a low-middle income family of 7 and one family member says to people from Australia “sure come stay with us no problem my mom can make rice and beans for all of us.”  However, there is not enough rice and beans for 50 people only the immediate family.

We are taught that as Christians it is the Christian thing to help. The Christian thing is to love and help one another. AND I TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT IF you have the finances!  However,  IF you are going to get further into debt because you are helping someone then that according to DSM-5 the Psychology bible puts you into the CARETAKER category and mentally unfit.  Oh my gosh, that’s crazy you are thinking like a selfish person not a Christian!  Um, actually no that makes perfect sense because WHY would you being of sound mind and body be willing to take care of someone else BEFORE taking care of yourself and your own?  People pleaser, caretaker, self-inflected pain of taking care of self last, the need to be loved, etc etc.

In conclusion, like I said in the beginning TOUGH DECISIONS have to be made when a country is in debt. Perhaps President Trump could have been just a bit more frank and honest instead of coming across as tough and arrogant. However, what he is doing in saying, “no more” is long overdue.  I have voted and supported BOTH democrats and republicans. I did not vote for Mr. Trump however I do support him as our President of the United States of America. We, the USA have no money but we do have lots of Veterans etc that have helped our country and need our help. Therefore we need to respect the fact that the President of the United States of America first responsibility is to take care of the people of the United States of America.
